Cleo the Young Pitbull in Sacramento
Here from our Sacramento clinic in the south area is a picture of Cleo the young Pitbull and her new humans. Cleo has a sweet and agreeable temperament and as she grows up to the size and strength expected of most Pitbulls that will be important attribute. Until the mid 19th century in England Pitbulls were the variety of Bulldog used in the bull baiting pits and for that reason they had to be ferocious, fearless strong and oblivious to pain. In the nearly 182 years since sport fighting was outlawed the Pitbull has been put to many uses and their temperament has been significantly softened. They do, however still possess a bit of the old fighting instinct so it is important that a young Pitbull come from a blood line which is known for its gentle temperament and it is equally important that the owner of a Pitbull puppy do plenty of training and early socialization. It’s the consistent training that makes all the difference. Cleo was a good girl and and we will look forward to seeing her again next month.
