Brulee the Bichon Frise pup Visited us in the Arden Area

Long hairs, short hairs, curly hairs and the most hairs at http://facebook.com/dogandcatshots

In the South area of Sacramento, we find Brulee at our clinic. Brulee could be a dessert or could be a very fluffy Bichon Frise who is the color of Creme Brulee. . . .Yep, he’s a dog and he is so fluffy that he almost blocks our view of his proud human! The name Bichon Frise roughly translates to ‘small lap dog with frizzy hair’ and that’s what we have except that Brulee is a bit large for his breed. There are four Bichon breeds and they are (or were) always friendly and happy pet dogs often kept by sailors at sea. The Bichons may originate with crossing from the original Pudlehund and the oldest may have been the Bichon Tenerife which is now extinct but which came from the Spanish island of Tenerife. The other three are the Bichon Frise, Bichon Bolognaise from Italy, and the Bichon Havanese which is the national dog of Cuba. The Bichon Frize is a great pet dog with a high requirement for grooming so don’t forget to find out if your groomer is going to require either the Bordatella vaccination for a kennel cough or the newer Canine Influenza vaccination – Geoffrey Antipa
