Reno The Italian Greyhound Visited us in Natomas

There is a picture of a dog for every season and a dog for every reason at

Reno is an Italian Greyhound who we saw at our Sacramento clinic in the Natomas area. We don’t see many of these dogs. whenever we do they are well behaved, thoughtful and quiet. Although Italian Greyhounds look like a miniature Greyhound, they are actually a breed of their own dating back 4,000 years perhaps to ancient Egypt! Italian Greyhounds (IGs), like all sighthounds, have a light slender build with the deep chest which is built for superb heart and lung performance. They can run with a double suspension gallop and achieve 25mph! Surprisingly, in spite of this tremendous physical ability, IGs require only moderate exercise and are by temperament quiet dogs. – Geoffrey Antipa
