Slash The Giant Schnauzer Visited Us In Elk Grove

Dogs everybody’s heard of and some dogs you never hear of at

Here at our Elk Grove clinic, we got to see an uncommon breed which is always one of the best behaved at clinics. Slash is a Giant Schnauzer and don’t let his scary name be misleading. He was a sweetheart who also underwent some painful examination with cooperative dignity. The Giant Schnauzer is a working dog bred in 17’th century Germany as a herder and guard dog. It derives from the regular Schnauzer, the Great Dane and Bouvier des Flanders. They are intelligent, calm, and reliable with children but anecdotally can be suspicious of strangers, therefore, require competent training and regular activities. – Geoffrey Antipa
